Nonetheless, communicating clearly, non- verbally, verbally and in writing, and doing so with sensitivity to others, remains a difficult skill to master. For leaders, a continuous improvement approach to communication skills development is essential. This 6-hour workshop will help to strengthen your interactions within your workplace and help to place value on this interpersonal attribute to demonstrate its importance to your team.

Children’s behaviour that is perceived as difficult or disturbing in the classroom often hinders a teacher’s effective delivery of the lesson. This workshop will not only help participants to explore the reasons for such behaviour exhibited in the classroom but will also provide them with guidelines and approaches to overcome them. It will further facilitate in developing and customizing strategies for any given classroom.

Stories help to enhance childrens’ visualisation of concepts and give children the chance to explore their own and other’s experiences. When hearing stories, children learn to understand unfamiliar situations, places, and people. Stories help children to keep engaged in learning and encourage purposeful talking and discussion.

This workshop will focus on strategies to teach Social Studies through the inquiry method.

Children, from an early age, need to be sensitized towards peace and all that it entails, and teachers need to be equipped to bring in peace messages into the daily academic and non-academic domains of the classroom environments. Through this workshop, teachers will get a chance to reflect on their teaching skills and practices in order to understand the importance of a peaceful environment in the classroom.

Listening is the gateway to understanding and communicating, therefore is absolutely critical for language learners. Once listening is in place, speaking automatically follows. Hence, bringing these two language skills in the classroom are of utmost significance. This workshop will focus on activities to promote listening and speaking skills in the classroom.

This workshop introduces reflective practice as a vital tenet of the teaching profession. It touches upon teachers’ roles in schools and society as people, as global citizens and as peace ambassadors. It focuses on the intrapersonal side of self-enabling teachers to critically reflect on their multifarious and multifaceted roles and influences within the classrooms and beyond. The workshop also introduces self-reflection as a tool for both self-empowerment and self-accountability.
