Our Stories

Learning Kit for Primary launched

The Subject-based Learning Kit for primary was launched in February 2022 for schools in Islamkot, Tharparkar, Sindh, and features interactive and relevant child-centered resource developed by TRC.

A resource bag for children of grades 3, 4 and 5, the kit contains customised and interactive learning materials based on textbooks currently being taught in schools. It supplements four key subjects: English, Math, Science and Social Studies. The materials are child-friendly and include activity cards, board games, stories and other visual aids.

The kit comes in a cloth bag with different sized pockets – each pocket contains subject-based thematic material and the board games are zipped inside a back pocket. The bag can fold and unfold easily and is fastened with a velcro strip, thus making it easy for children to carry it around.

Some years ago, TRC launched its flagship learning resource, Pehla Taleemi Basta, which is a curriculum based pre-primary and primary kit. It has been widely used across Pakistan in diverse school settings and proven highly successful for promoting active learning in classrooms.

Over the last 34 years, TRC has developed a range of learning material to supplement the teaching-learning process in underprivileged schools where there are daunting education service delivery gaps. In line with the National Curriculum of ECE, TRC has developed and continues to produce a variety of diverse learning resources that can be effectively used by teachers for uplifting the standards of education across the country.
