Children’s behaviour that is perceived as difficult or disturbing in the classroom often hinders a teacher’s effective delivery of the lesson. This workshop will not only help participants to explore the reasons for such behaviour exhibited in the classroom but will also provide them with guidelines and approaches to overcome them. It will further facilitate in developing and customizing strategies for any given classroom.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the different kinds of behaviours in the primary classroom
  • explore underlying reasons for misbehaviour and the teacher’s approach to their solutions
  • develop and customise strategies to manage behaviour in their classroom

Workshop Leader
Ms. Samira Essani brings with her an MBA degree from IBA and is also a graduate of the ECE course from TRC in 2010, after which she also taught on the course as a co-faculty member for a while. She brings with her a varied experience of training, teaching and academic coordination in the field of Early Childhood Education for around a decade. She is currently associated with the River Oaks Academy as the Vice Principal for the Junior branch and is involved in teacher training programmes on a variety of topics and subjects and has also been conducting lectures at TRC.
