Emotional intelligence is the primary source of human energy to transform thoughts into deeds and monitor ones’s own emotions. This workshop will enable participants to regulate their thoughts and emotions.

Workshop Leader: Mr.  Ali Gohar has done his bachelors from IBA in Business Administration with specialisation in Human Resources and is also certified in Business Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, China. He has experience of 4 years in working with different not-for-profit organisations, specially in the field of education. He is currently working with TRC as Coordinator for Education Support Initiatives.

STEM helps teachers introduce young learners to the basics of various science and mathematics concepts the way they are exposed to them in real life. Moreover, the integration of curriculum concepts makes them more relatable for the children and stimulates critical thinking skills to foster readiness for deeper learning of such concepts in later years. In fact, it is a way of channelising the natural curiosity of children by making them observe, investigate, explore, interpret, conclude and create while they undertake STEM tasks. This workshop aims to equip teachers with such strategies and activities that can ensure STEM mode of learning in their classrooms.

Workshop Leader: Ms. Sonia Iqbal has 17 years of experience of working with and developing skills in students at all levels of achievement in public and private sector schools. Along with teaching English and Science, she has also worked in the capacity of an assistant editor and as a freelance content writer for distinctive magazines and newspapers. Currently she is working as a member of the Training and Development team at TRC and has contributed in developing capacity of various teachers and stakeholders.

She has an experience of 5 years as an ECE practitioner in Dubai and London and is currently employed as a pre-school facilitator and a mentor at a prestigious school in Pakistan. She is also an internationally certified Hatha and Yin yoga and meditation teacher and has recently completed the Master Trainer certification in the same.

Workshop Leader: Ms. Misbah Karamat comes from a diverse educational and professional background. She has a bachelor’s degree in Textile Design from the National College of Arts, and an accredited certification – ICELT, in English language teaching from the University of Cambridge. She has worked at different educational institutions across Pakistan, and brings with her teaching experience in various subjects at primary and secondary levels.
