TRC views the teaching process as one that involves far more than a transfer of information. We believe that education is the development of thinking, problem solving and communication skills. It requires an understanding of concepts and fosters attitudes of respect for self and for others, and that learning takes place in secure, non-threatening environments. At our workshops we aim to demonstrate and build on this philosophy.
The workshop programme provides opportunities for professional growth and creates a forum where teachers can meet and exchange ideas. It responds to expressed needs, but is also designed to stimulate interest, and demand, in new topics.
