It encourages them to take responsibility for their own learning experiences and develops teamwork and social skills. This workshop will focus on strategies to implement activity-based learning for enriching English Language.

Workshop Leader
Dr. Bricklin Zeff has been teaching English as a Foreign Language for 30 years. He is president of the Hokkaido Chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT).  He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Hokkaido University in Japan. His research areas include interlanguage pragmatics, speech act theory, and curriculum development. He is currently responsible for teaching courses in ESP (English for Special Purposes) and has developed a curriculum for teaching English to undergraduate and graduate dental students. This involves academic presentation skills, communication skills, and corpus vocabulary development. He holds a full-time teaching position at Hokkai-Gakuen University.
