Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • enhance their knowledge about the value of Maths in accordance with a child’s intellectual development
  • raise awareness about the importance of practical experience
  • learn ways to enhance children’s calculative and manipulative skills in number work
  • gain knowledge and understanding of conceptual development through indoor and outdoor activities
  • plan strategies to help children understand relationships with shapes and patterns.

Workshop Leader

Ms.Rana Hasnain has been associated with the teaching profession for more than three decades and has vast experience of teaching as well as school management. She is a graduate from Karachi University and holds a Montessori Diploma from AMI. She has been associated with The City School for almost twenty years, where she conducted workshops for teaching and managing staff as well as designed language and maths curriculums or the pre-junior and junior levels.
