Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the meaning of Dyslexia and its causes
  • become aware of the behaviour problems in dyslexic children
  • create customised activities to make learning fun according to the child’s cognitive level
  • learn about global efforts used to facilitate special needs education tools.

Workshop Leader

Ms. Ghazala Saleem holds a Diploma in Teaching Dyslexia Children from READS and has participated in a 3 month course in handling children with special needs sponsored by SpellBound. She has worked as a resource teacher at Learning Tree with an autistic child for three years and attended as well as conducted workshops for mainstream teachers to create awareness and understanding of children with learning difficulties.Ms.Sadia Tariq, has received her training in teaching Dyslexia children. She is also Master Trainer for NOWPDP, Executive member of PAIEA, AKU and a consultant for Humqadam Foundation. At present, she is successfully running her private institute for Dyslexia.
