Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the concept of a mentally healthy child across different developmental stages
  • become aware of common child emotional and behavioural problems and ways to identify them
  • explore the teachers’ role in promoting child’s well-being
  • gain ideas for establishing classroom management and daily routine schedules for children with emotional and behavioural problems
  • learn about co-working with parents and other professionals to best meet the needs of the child

Workshop Leader

Ms. Sajida Hassan is a qualified Clinical Psychologist and Researcher with a Doctorate in Child Psychology from University of Leicester, UK and a Double Masters in Clinical Psychology. She is currently working at Hussaini Foundation and is involved in identification and management of common mental health problems in school children. She has to her credit several publications on mental health of primary school children both globally as well as in Pakistan.
