Objectives
Through this workshop, participants will:

  • highlight the aims and objectives of teaching prose in the secondary classroom
  • become aware of the different forms of prose
  • understand the concept of imaginative and practical writing
  • identify criteria to select texts
  • learn different methods to teach and evaluate prose

Workshop Leaders
Ms. Lynette Viccaji is Co-ordinator and O-Level English Teacher at the Convent of Jesus and Mary as well as A-Level teacher and head of the department of English Literature at the Lyceum School. She has been conducting workshops at TRC for over 16 years.

Please Note: Participants who wish to have the texts they are teaching included in the workshop activities must submit the names of these texts, along with their registration and payment, by the 20th of May.

No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made one day before the workshop. 50% will be deducted if a cancellation is made two days before the workshop, and 25% in all other cases. If TRC cancels a workshop, a full refund will be given to all confirmed participants. Requests for refunds must be received within 5 working days of the workshop.
