Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • explore the aims and objectives of teaching Literature in middle school
  • consider a variety of methods for teaching Literature and assessing what has been learnt
  • identify criteria to select texts
  • become aware of the importance of both intensive and extensive reading

Workshop Leader

Ms. Lynette Viccaji is A-Level teacher and Head of the department of English Literature at the Lyceum School. In addition to that she is a lecturer at Notre Dame Institute of Education and has been a local consultant to Oxford University Press. She has been conducting workshops at TRC for over 17 years.
