Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • recognise the need to diversify their approach to the teaching of language
  • explore ways to introduce a piece of literature as an aid to language reinforcement
  • develop awareness and appreciation for pieces of literature
  • identify strategies for motivating students to approach literature as a user-friendly device

Workshop Leader

Ms. Fauzia Zubair holds a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Karachi, and a Post- graduate Diploma in Advanced Professional Studies from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. She has to her credit teaching experience at the secondary and A level counselling as well as school administration in some of the leading schools in the city. She has valuable experience in conducting workshops and managing training programmes for teachers.
