Objectives
Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the importance of involving parents in the progress of the child at school
  • become aware of the rights and duties of parents
  • examine common issues that arise in the home/school relationship
  • highlight strategies to communicate effectively with parents
  • identify the impact of the home environment on a child’s progress
  • consider ways to involve parents in determining school’s policies

Ms. Rubina Naqvi is a member of the Training and Development Team and is working in the capacity of Senior Manager, Membership Network at TRC. She has been conducting workshops at TRC since the last 7 years and has received training in teacher development in affiliation with University of Bradford, UK
