Objectives
Through this workshop, participants will:

  • explore the broad definition of health
  • enhance their understanding of nutritional health
  • Identify the link between health and education
  • learn about skill-based approaches to resolve health issues in a classroom setting
  • develop a nutritional health education plan for schools

Workshop Leader
Dr. Shabnam Ahmed holds an MBBS as well as a Masters degree in Education and International Development from the Institute of Education, University of London, UK. She has worked as a faculty member in Health Education at Aga Khan University for 9 years and has been a general medical practitioner for 8 years. She has promoted children’s participation in health initiatives in schools and presented papers at national and international fora. At present, she is working as Senior Manager Programmes & Research at Teachers’ Resource Centre.
