Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • explore their own understanding, enjoyment and appreciation of poetry
  • examine various methods by which they can communicate this understanding, enjoyment and appreciation to their students
  • scrutinize the aims and objectives of the CIE syllabus with a view to bringing their teaching in line with these requirements
  • work out CIE past paper questions based on the poems in the current syllabus

Workshop Leader

Ms. Lynette Viccaji is an A level Teacher and Head of Department of English Literature at Cedar College. She has also been a local consultant to Oxford University Press for their English Language publications. Her teaching experience spans over 31 years and she has been conducting workshops at TRC since 1995.
