Recent studies show that teachers suffer more than other professional groups from the occupational lack of motivation. A global understanding of teacher motivation requires an adequate framework for its study. Many educational psychologists are already working in this area and new findings and helpful tools are being suggested for teachers and educational managers. This workshop will not only help teachers to self-assess their levels of motivation but also find ways to keep these boasted throughout their teaching career.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • become aware of the importance of staying motivated and its impact on daily routines
  • identify the factors that influence teacher motivation and satisfaction
  • understand how those factors relate to class room management and teacher – student relationship
  • discover ways to stay motivated and realize the importance of grit

Workshop Leader

Ms. Munira Nadeem has a Masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Karachi with first class first position. She is a trained public speaker who worked for Pakistan Television Karachi Center as compare of youth and student programmes for ten years. She first started teaching at the department of Mass Communication and then at Haque Academy, where she is currently serving as the Academic & Administrative Coordinator for Grades 4-6. She is involved in teacher training programmes on a variety of topics and subject areas.
