This workshop will address how adults can better understand and therefore handle challenging behaviour in children effectively.

Objectives
Through this workshop, participants will:

  • appreciate the critical role of self-esteem in children’s behaviour
  • recognise the possible causes of challenging behaviour
  • explore ways in which challenging behaviour can be managed

Workshop Leader
Ms. Nida Alavi has an M.Ed in Special Education from Peabody College, Vanderbilt University and a B.A. degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, USA, where she majored in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. Nida has worked extensively with young children in the US and Pakistan. She is a member of the TRC team and IECE faculty.
