Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the whole reading process
  • identify the hindrances children face in developing reading skills
  • explore methods of identifying strengths and weaknesses of children while reading
  • share ways to help children overcome difficulties in learning to read in school and at home

Workshop Leader

Sana-e-Zehra Haidry brings with her 3 Masters degrees from various reputable International Universities in Psychology, Mental Health and Clinical Linguistics, with special focus on Dyslexia. She has a vast experience in conducting trainings related to learning problems in Urdu and English in schools for teachers and parents, as a Research Consultant, as a head of Training Unit and as a Coordinator for Learning Differences Projects. Sana also has to her credit research publication and presentations on Emotional and Behavioural Problems and in developing Assessment Tests for Dyslexia. She is currently enrolled in an International Doctorate in Experimental Approaches to Languages and the Brain
