	Objectives Through this workshop, participants will: become aware of the importance of understanding number concepts and developing a positive attitude about maths at an early age understand the need for creating a maths environment identify visual and listening exercises for developing rapid and accurate perception of numbers plan strategies to enable children to use mathematical vocabulary appropriately in the relevant context

	Workshop Leader Ms. Naheed Lakhani is a graduate from Karachi University and has received training in Early Childhood Education from England. In addition to 8 years of teaching experience in British Overseas School, she has contributed towards training of teachers as well as management in other schools.
