Objectives
Through this workshop, participants will:

  • recognise the role of interactive teaching in a classroom and ways to use it effectively
  • learn how to organise a debate, establish the goals it should meet, and teach deductive reasoning skills
  • use drama to create a picture or story of subject events from 2 minute single production to full class period with multiple students
  • use hands-on manipulatives to teach ideas and concepts students can experience through the senses
  • create games to enhance the ability to retain subject information.

Mrs. Penny Davis has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wayland Baptist University, USA. She has taught in both public and private schools. She also holds a degree in Performing Arts enabling her to be an instructor of Fine Arts at Vernon Regional College. She has owned and operated a school of dance for 35 years teaching 3 year olds to mature adults.
