Choosing a career at a young age can be daunting, if not frightening. Students need to be guided about the changing job market and the new and exciting upcoming careers that they can pursue. Therefore it is important for career councillors in schools to be aware of higher education options open to students of each subject stream, the institutions offering these courses and the steps they need to take to equip themselves for the world of work. This workshop provides a general overview on the numerous career options available with an introduction to career planning, its importance and methodology.
