Learning objectives constitute the basic elements of a lesson plan. They are the statements of what is expected to be achieved at different stages. This workshop is designed to enhance the skill of framing learning objectives that would prepare children to meet the challenges of a technical age.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the importance of planning learning objectives
  • become aware of appropriate verbs to be used when framing objectives
  • examine the application of Bloom’s Taxonomy in achieving learning outcomes
  • examine the need to consider factors like audience, behaviour, condition and degree while stating objectives

Workshop Leader

Ms. Arwa Shaikh has received her basic education in East Africa and has specialized in Early Childhood Education from Kindergarten Headmistress Association, England. She has over 25 years of teaching experience in ECE and has been conducting workshops for teachers of various institutions both within Pakistan and abroad. Arwa is currently employed at MSB Educational Institute as the Head of the Pre-School section and has been associated with them since 1989.
