Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the need for developing word power in children to achieve language proficiency
  • become aware of ways to integrate words with other components of a language
  • identify techniques designed to promote vocabulary development in children
  • explore the effective use of the dictionary in increasing word knowledge.

Ms. Sara Ahmed has a Masters degree in Linguistics from Kinnaird College, Lahore as well as one in Teaching English as a Second Language from Central Connecticut State University. USA. She has 8 years of experience in teaching English language in USA and is presently teaching at Bay View Academy since the last 2 years. She is also affiliated with the British Council.
