Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand that spaces are themselves agents for change and changed spaces will change practice
  • recognise the role of environment as a motivating force in creating spaces for learning
  • learn about the concept of ‘third teacher’ in creating child friendly learning spaces
  • explore practical ideas to create effective and inviting learning spaces in the classroom

Workshop Leader

Ms. Saboohi Irtiza holds a BA degree with a major in Education from Karachi University and brings with her 22 years of both teaching as well as administrative experience in schools. In addition to this she also has to her credit a Diploma in Professional Studies from Bradford University, UK, and has contributed significantly towards development of curriculum for Early Years and Primary level. She is currently working at The City School in the capacity of Manager, Early Years Education
