The participants will understand the importance of assessing the quality of learning and teaching. They will explore different methods and tools for collecting evidences and making valid judgements of learning and teaching in a primary classroom. This short course has been designed for novice in-service primary level teachers with one or two years of teaching experience.

  • explore theoretical perspectives and importance of Formative & Summative Assessments
  • identify the strengths & limitations of testing children
  • highlight different Assessment and Evaluation Tools
  • develop formats for writing meaningful progress reports

Workshop Leader

Ms. Rubina Naqvi has B.Sc / B.Ed degrees from Karachi University. She is an accredited trainer and holds a Diploma in Professional Studies from University of Bradford, UK. She brings with her 33 years of experience in the field of education which includes teaching, training teachers, and school management. Currently she is a member of the Training and Development Team at TRC and is working in the capacity of Senior Manager, Membership Network since the last 12 years.
