Reading is a complex process that draws upon many skills which need to be developed at the same time. It is the responsibility of the teachers to teach reading effectively in early years and help students who are struggling in this process. This workshop will focus on strategies to promote reading skills in young learners.

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the importance of phonemic awareness as a pre-reading stage
  • identify the difficulties children face when learning to read
  • become aware of the need for early intervention to fill the learning gaps
  • design different strategies to promote reading skills in young learners

Ms. Farheen Hasan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Education. She has received training in Orton Gillingham Approach from CARE Dyslexics and Leads Academy. She is also a certified MS office specialist and a digital marketer. Farheen has been associated with the field of Education for almost a decade and has conducted different projects and trainings for schools and hospitals. She has also arranged and moderated webinars and has carried out therapies and counselling for students with learning difficulties. She is currently serving as a Remedial Therapist at one of the renowned schools in Karachi.

Cancellation Policy:
No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made one day before the workshop
/course 50% will be deducted if a cancellation is made two days before the workshop/course and 25% in all other cases. If TRC cancels a workshop/course, full refund will be given to all confirmed participants. Requests for refunds must be received within 5 working days of the workshop/course. Please register and submit course fee promptly with the enrolment form.

2) Download the form from the website www.trconline.org and send it with the payment through cheque to Teachers’ Resource Centre. Upon receival, TRC will confirm your seat on first come first served basis.
