STEM is an integrated form of education that teaches children more than the curriculum content. It stimulates critical thinking and lets learners identify the connection between textbook knowledge and the world around them. Regardless of dynamics and limitations of any subject, STEM gets children to investigate, explore, interpret, conclude and create. These investigations make attainment of a variety of skillsets possible. In this interactive workshop, participants will actively undertake STEM investigations that will facilitate them to design inquiry tasks and develop 21st century skills in children.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • explore the concept and significance of STEM in 21st century
  • identify how STEM supports interest and individual differences of the children
  • design STEM based investigations to develop 21st century skills in children

Ms. Sonia Iqbal has 12 years of experience in working with developing skills in students at all levels of achievement in public and private sector schools. Along with teaching English and Science, she has also worked in the capacity of an assistant editor and as a freelance content writer for distinctive magazines and newspapers. Currently she is working as a member of the Training and Development team at TRC.

No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made one day before the workshop. 50% will be deducted if a cancellation is made two days before the workshop, and 25% in all other cases. If TRC cancels a workshop, a full refund will be given to all confirmed participants. Requests for refunds must be received within 5 working days of the workshop.
