Project-based learning is a dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge. It is an approach designed to give students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects set around challenges of the real world.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the shift to PBL and the need to create a student centric classroom
  • explore ways to leading students towards AUTONOMY & MASTERY driven by purpose
  • identify ways to promote 21st-century skills for meaningful PBL classrooms

Workshop Leader
Ms. Arwa Khuzaima has received her basic education in East Africa and has specialised in Early Childhood Education from The Kindergarten Headmistress Association in England. She has acquired a Master Teacher Course Certificate from Teachers’ Development Centre and brings with her over 31 years of experience in teaching ECE classes both here and abroad. She has trained teachers on projects with the British Council and the Swedish Government for teachers from Afghanistan. She is on the Oxford University Press panel of trainers and has helped teachers adapt to their ECE and ESL series.

No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made one day before the workshop. 50% will be deducted if a cancellation is made two days before the workshop, and 25% in all other cases. If TRC cancels a workshop, a full refund will be given to all confirmed participants. Requests for refunds must be received within 5 working days of the workshop.
