With an immediate shift to remote learning systems worldwide, educational institutions had to overnight adapt, train and resort to e-learning. With COVID being here to stay and hybrid learning as the new reality, it is time to better equip ourselves with online learning intricacies. Hence this workshop is primarily designed to guide the participants through a variety of tips, techniques and strategies for effective online teaching methodologies to increase student engagement and participation. It will entail setting up vibrant virtual classrooms and managing student discipline in an online setting.

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • devise activity-based e-learning teaching methodologies for an effective lesson plan implementation
  • implement strategies and tips for better student engagement and participation
  • understand how to set up a virtual classroom
  • explore ways to manage online classroom discipline
  • learn how to best utilize other online teaching resources as part of e-learning

Workshop Leader
Ms. Sana Ilyas is an education enthusiast working in the field for last 10 years. Her disciplined educational background, ranging from a Convent school to IBA and then University of Toronto, Canada, has given her a very solid educational foundation and ideology of an ideal educational institution. She is currently serving as the Head of Professional Development Team, Lead Trainer and Personnel Developer at Keystone Academy. Over the last decade, she has developed a thorough understanding of current trends in curriculum development, up to date teaching practices, Policy formulation and Continuous Academic Monitoring to align with school development plans.
