Through this workshop, participants will:

  • understand the language background of the students
  • explore ways to create an English language friendly classroom
  • identify good practices to implement in teaching English
  • become aware of ways to assess learning of English language
  • develop skills to determine the next step in teaching English as an additional language

Workshop Leader

Bushra Ahmed holds a B.A. degree in Commerce and is a Certificate holder in ‘Special Educational Needs’ from Oldham College, UK. She brings with her 20 years of experience in the UK National Curriculum as a Teacher Trainer and Resource Advisor. She has taught and conducted sessions in teaching English as an additional language at British Overseas School for 12 years as well as in schools abroad.
