Information and Communication Technology opens educational resources that can increase educational productivity by accelerating the rate of learning and help teachers to better utilise their time in an effective manner. This workshop will help teachers to understand the required skills and expertise for technology integration in order to be connected to their students professionally and also improve their own instruction skills.

Objectives

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • reflect upon the importance of ICT in teaching and learning
  • familiarise themselves with ICT tools and resources that can be used with different teaching strategies
  • identify steps to be considered while writing a lesson plan
  • plan and review an ICT integrated lesson

Workshop Leader

Ms. Hina Amjad holds a Masters degree in Home Economics and successfully completed Cambridge PDQ as Programme Leader to teach Diploma in Teaching with Digital Technologies. She brings with her 15 years of teaching and training experience in Beaconhouse School System, where she has facilitated teachers to develop their professional skills, conducted workshops and designed training programmes for integrating ICT into the curriculum. As a Regional Education Coordinator, Hina managed and monitored the use of different educational software in teaching and learning in the Southern Region of the school system.
